What are the Rights of the Data Subject?
Pursuant to Article 11 of PDP Law, you may make requests regarding the following issues regarding your personal data by applying to our Bank:
a. To learn whether personal data is being processed,
b. If personal data has been processed, to request information about it,
c. To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is being used for that purpose,
d. To learn the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, whether domestically or abroad,
e. To request the correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrect and, in this context, to request the notification of this correction to the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
f. To request the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of personal data if the reasons requiring processing have ceased and, in this context, to request the notification of this process to the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred,
g. To object to an adverse result arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
h. To request compensation for the damages you incur as a result of the unlawful processing of your personal data.
You may convey your requests pertaining to the aforementioned rights through the 'Personal Data Subject Application Form,' accompanied by identity verification documents. These can be submitted either in person at our branches or through a notary. Alternatively, you can send them securely with an electronic signature to the address 'Finanskent Mahallesi Finans Caddesi No:40/1 Ümraniye/İstanbul' or to the email address vakifbank@hs01.kep.tr. Our Bank will finalize your application requests free of charge within 30 (thirty) days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request, in compliance with Article 13 of the PPD Law. In case the request is rejected, the reason(s) for the rejection shall be notified to you in writing or electronically.

Mr. Zafer graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics and he also completed his post graduate and Ph. D. degrees in Marmara University. Since 1992, Mr. Zafer held different positions at head office, branch and audit departments of various banks. He was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on June 13th, 2006.

Mr. Çelebi graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics in 1992. Since 1995, he served as auditor, manager and head in various departments and branches of VakıfBank. Mr. Çelebi was appointed as Executive Vice President on October 4th, 2013.

Mr. Şuayyip İlbilgi graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. Since 1996, he held the positions of associate, manager and head in various departments at VakıfBank. Mr. İlbilgi was appointed as Executive Vice President on August 1, 2017.

Mr. Hıdır (born 1979) graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Law. After working as a lawyer, he began his career in the Bank in 2003 as an assistant auditor. Following his work as an auditor, Mr. Hıdır held the positions of Credit Risk Liquidation Manager, Compliance Manager, Head of Loan Monitoring and Legal Proceedings and Head of Internal Audit. In addition, he was served as the Executive Vice President in Türkiye Sigorta. Mr. Hıdır was appointed as Executive Vice President on December 13, 2018.

Mr. Akyol graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Administration. Since 1993, he held the positions of auditor, manager and head in various departments and branches of VakıfBank. Mr. Akyol was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on May 31, 2019.

Mr. Şimşek graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Public Administration. Since 1995, he held the positions of auditor, manager, head and regional director in various departments and branches of VakıfBank and Executive Vice President at Vakıf Yatırım Menkul Değerler. Mr. Şimşek was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on May 31, 2019.

Mr. Ferkan Merdan graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, and Department of Finance and got a masters’ degree from the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association, Institute of Social Sciences, and Department of Business Administration. Beginning his banking career at Ziraat Bank Banking School in 1996, Mr. Merdan held the positions of auditor, manager and head in various departments of VakıfBank. Mr. Merdan was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on May 31, 2019.

Mr. Muhammed Onay Özkan graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, and Department of Finance. Since 2000, Mr. Özkan held the positions of auditor, manager and head in various departments and branches of VakıfBank. Mr. Özkan was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on May 31, 2019.

Mr. Arif Çokçetin graduated from İstanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences and Department of Finance. After working at the Ministry of Finance for some time, Mr. Çokçetin held the positions of financial analyst, manager and head in various departments and branches of VakıfBank since 1996. Mr. Çokçetin was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on July 13, 2020.

Having graduated from Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Mr. Karataş completed his master’s degree in Yıldız Technical University. Since 1996, Mr. Kadir Karataş held the positions of financial analyst, auditor, manager, head and regional director in various departments and branches of VakıfBank. Mr. Karataş was appointed as Executive Vice President at VakıfBank on August 13, 2020.
Retail Banking, Deposit Marketing and Payment Systems
Having graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Management Engineering, Mr. Turan has held the positions of auditor, manager and head in various departments of VakıfBank since 2003. Mr. Turan served as General Manager of Debt Management at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance between September 1, 2019 and December 20, 2021. Mr. Turan was appointed as Executive Vice President at the Bank on 14 July 2021.
